Dana White prepared to give Nick Diaz immediate rematch
Last week, Carlos Condit’s manager came out to say their team would consider a scenario with “The Natural Born Killer” defending his interim welterweight title if victorious at UFC 143 based on the amount of time remaining before linear champion Georges St. Pierre is fully healed from knee surgery. Roy Nelson Posts Picture of Forehead Gash

For any potential heavyweight opponents out there considering blocking Fabricio Werdum’s knees with your forehead, you might want to reconsider your strategy. Following Saturday’s lopsided unanimous decision defeat to the Brazilian, Roy Nelson posted the above picture of his redesigned mug for your viewing pleasure.
“Here is the cut from me head butting werdum’s knee in the 1st. My face is fine, forehead is a little sore,” Nelson tweeted.
“Big Country” wasn’t able to attend the UFC 143 post-fight press conference, but company president Dana White once again expressed uncertainty regarding Nelson’s future inside the Octagon. The likeable 265-pounder has dropped three of his last four fights.
“Why would he cut me I’m still top of the HWY division ask any HWY and if they say differ I will fight them,” Nelson wrote in response to a fan inquiring about his employment status.
White has been critical of Nelson’s weight in the past, but to the 35-year-old’s credit, he has dropped a total of 17 pounds over his last four trips to the scales. He weighed 263 for UFC 117, 260 for UFC 130, 252 (while wearing a fat suit) for UFC 137 and notched 246 this past Friday.

Her honesty and sharp tongue have endeared her to many fans and [...] -

What the Stats Say About Last Night’s Close Decisions

“Where I come from, people who lose close fights retire.” Props: UFC.comWhile watching UFC 143 from the comfort of my favorite dive bar last night, I knew that MMA fans would be waging war on the internet over the fights that went the distance. Between the two point deduction that cost “Bruce Leroy” his fight against Edwin Figueroa and Josh Koscheck’s close fight with the “undeserving” Mike Pierce, I knew that I could expect a long-winded, philosophical debate over what constitutes a fight and what doesn’t- whether abstract concepts like “control” and “aggression” mean more ...
